Statement from HIJOS La Plata before the genocide in Syria

HIJOS La Plata strongly condemns the repression of the forces of the dictatorial regime to the Syrian people and show support to their fight against it. We denounce the persecution, bombing, concentration and torture camps that are filling with death the Syrian popular sectors. At the same time we pronounce ourselves for the freedom of the Syrian people to develop their way of struggle for a free society and not tied to the interests of the local dictatorship or the imperialism, interests that continue to oppress the people.

As a part of the actions for making visible the Syrian genocide the comrades from Democracia Obrera [Workers’ Democracy] are being politically chased and threatened. Therefore, it isn’t new to see how mechanisms of pursuit are exercised by the “national and popular government” to the organizations that don’t line up and stand fighting.

We denounce that while the K government of “Human Rights” don’t move a single finger to expose what is happening in Syria, it is chasing in order to set an example the ones who don’t remain silent before the attacks to the working class.

That is why we will be present in the Festival Act next October 27^th in the Borda Hospital Cultural Center and we call all the political, union, students, human rights, social and cultural organizations, as well as every person sensible to this cause to join the fight to stop the genocide in Syria that has already taken the life of over 300,000 men, children and women.
